Hi folks, I have a 1996 Pajero 2.8 exceed which has had lots work done.
New radiator
Oil Housing
Glow Plugs
Separate rubber push button on dashboard for glow plugs on start up
new battery
Oil filter
Fuel filter
Oil cooler
Oil Housing

The Pajero starts very well, even in very frosty conditions. It drives very well in urban areas up to 50 mph. If I drive on dual carriageway and get up to 60 plus mph the Pajero starts overheating. The gauge to the top and the Radiator over flow tank starts to boil and car just loses power. Once cooled down, antifreeze and water back in, it starts and drives as normal.

Anyone any suggestions on what could be the cause?

Hi there, sounds like your thermostat or waterpump or both. I would check the pump anyway, its an easy job, the impeller has a nasty habit of seperating from its shaft. Costs £25 for pump. The stat is easy and cheap to do. £10. Flush the heater(s) to check circulation and hopefully you should be good.
