Hi
The cable that connects from my handbrake to a connector for the two rear cables has broken. Phones around and they say my vehicle doesn’t list one,,yet it’s there in front of me?
It’s a 1990 mk2 Swb Pajero. Chassis No is v244015920.
Please help.

Why do people here read but not help?  I would always give a touch of advice if I knew it would help someone. All I see here ,on all my posts, is read.
For a forum dedicated to the Mitsubishi brand ,it’s a poor showing !👎🏼

Some 'reads' may be (ro)bots; but for those of us here for the info it may we have no idea! For many a 1990 model may not be one we've ever had experience of.

I'd be looking at exploded parts diagrams for clues based on the model code on megazip.net.

E.g: for 1990 model code NHEL6, V21W, the parts diagram for its Parking Brake is:

I'd add that in most cases there should be TWO cables joining to the hand-brake lever so that if one fails the other is still functional. I've compared the exploded parts diagram for the short wheel base model I gave as an example to my long wheel-base model and the only different is the cables from lever to drum are much longer. The lever has a threaded rod to adjust tension and on the end of that threaded rod is a double clamp that BOTH left and right drum brake cables attach to.
