|
|
There are a handful of issues which seem to prevent a small number of members from accessing the club shop, where the symptom is a white screen with a 'blob' in the top left corner ... (this is an intermediate screen which everybody (bar broadband users I expect), will see while shop information is downloaded to your PC - you'll need to wait for up to a minute while it loads, depending on your connection speed) ... or you are unable to complete your order ...
1. One problem seems to be related to some installations of windows XP pro, which has a small java compatibility problem and requires the XP service pack 1 to be installed to fix the bug. If you get an 'Internal Server Error', then click here to link to the thread with the details of the solution.
2. Another problem which seems to have affected a few members is related to browser settings, where the settings are such that 'cookies' have been disabled ... (cookies, in simple terms, are tiny little information files used by programs on the net to keep track of, for example, shopping baskets) ... simply enable cookies within your browser settings, to allow this to work.
3. Firewall software with the settings too high seems to cause a problem
4. pop-up-blocker software stops you from getting to the epdq secure payment window ... it launches as a pop-up window when you click on the link.
5. Are you using AOL or the OPERA browser? Open an Internet Explorer (IE) window once you are connected ... all your problems should go away!
6. There is a HOAX virus warning which is still doing the rounds which warns of jdbgmgr.exe - the "teddybear virus" ... if you follow the instructions you will end up deleting a perfectly good file required for some java processing in web programs... including code the club shop program.
I hope this helps!
