|
|
just to let you know a mate took his warrior truck for MOT today i was with him he has the clear rear lights fitted without the E mark it failed because of this. so i just wanted to warn you myself included don,t sell the old ones just yet as my mate had we had to go and borrow a set for the re test. it just might be that not all MOT stations are as keen but better to be safe than sorry. |

Also note that it's not just at MOT time - that nice Mr Policeman can do you at any time for Construction & Use Regs - and pretty soon so will a traffic warden |

I got stopped recently by the Old Bill as the clear lights dont have any rear reflectors on them so a quick trip was required down to halfords and a pair of stick on red rear reflectors purchased and stuck on the rear bumper

Another warning for those with clear lights, my son has fitted clear lights to his prelude, there is no E mark on the lights.
He got pulled over last weekend and was told he could not continue driving untill the lights had been replaced, luckily he was only five miles away so I was able to take the original lights too him.
Moral of the strory is if you have clear lights carry the original lights as well, could save you quite a bit of money if you are a long way from home.

The clear lights came from himrb he had them imported after a few people were asking how to get hold of them after a member posted a pic of his pajero with some on, which came over from japan. send him a pm he advertised them on ebay and did free delivery for pocuk members, see rate the seller a couple of pages down there is a bit on him and the clear lights.
As I have said elsewhere I have not yet had any probs with water, chrome fading and they went through the mot no problem |

And thinking on a bit further - Mr Constable/Traffic Warden could in theory also do us for not having tail lights in the bumper like the Shogs, and anything else that we do to get round the SVA test. Or could he? |
