I know its not technically a CB, but can anyone recommend a decent but cheap PMR? I'm looking for two rechargeable handsets for playing with when greenlaning etc (and for yelling at 'him-indoors' without straining myself )
Maplins currently have a G5 PMR 2-Way Radio Twin Pack with Batteries & Charger for £20 instead of £40, but would it be any good?
Cheers

I don't know about that specific model, but Maplin are generally pretty good - they don't usually sell gear that isn't up to scratch.

I just got a couple of the £19.99 Midland pairs from Maplin. Pretty good value really. They've got all the features of more far more expensive ones but in maybe a slightly cheaper case (i.e. no brightly coloured rubber etc). Defintely worth buying. |

I bought a pair of Oregon Scientific TP-329 complete with charger & rechargable batteries (AAA) from Maplin - About £30.
The one feature you should look for is the 38 sub-channel option not available on all 446 handsets.
