reversing beeper???

playing around with the fan and found a connection by the foot well on the near side pluged it in and could not find anything ! then when i put it into reverse i got the bleep bleep going !!! is there one on the out side of the pajero or is it just the one inside ?! if one on the inside whats the point of it ? there must be ?!

It's just on the inside as far as I know. As for the point of that, I'm not sure! Is yours an auto? Mine is and I think the logic is so that you get an audio aswell as visual warning that you're in reverse because you don't change gears as often in the auto and you might be inclined to leave it in reverse by accident ..... if that makes sense! It did in my head anyway Rolling Eyes Laughing

The bleep is confined to the inside only afaik not come across one outside as well,the purpose??? i suppose to remind you that your in reverse cant really seeing it serving much more of a warning than that,i spose its good as some people could quite easily forget what gear they maybe in at some point,hope that helps..

thats what i thought of may be when offroading and you get stuck and you know when your in reverse ! thats all i could think off !

yea if you look under the glove box on the left hand side there a little metal clip for some thing mine was just behind that its got two cables to it and i think they was red/black and a red if this does not help you let me know ! will get a pic for you

Now anyone knows how to silence the beeper that goes off when you open the door and the key is in the switch !!

can anyone tell me how to get it i would like that to work ! but i have not found anything in the steering column had that apart and all conections are connected there ! the five year old loves the reversing bleeper though ! !!!! Very Happy Very Happy Exclamation

The clip that is underneath the glovebox on the lefthand side carries a flare in it .
Yours was probably taken out when it was tested
