Ray Batteries about £ 60 each from http://www.milneroffroad.com/Pajero.htm. Before you change the batteries though, try and get the batteries and alternator checked out- your local motor factors should be able to check these for you. Funny how they lost their charge overnight though, could also be a short somewhere- or something draining the batteries. Have you got access to a multimeter. You could check for shorts and to check the alternator if you have. The alternator should be charging the batteries at between 14 and 15 volts. Once running does everything work ok. Let us know mate. Thanks Carl.
I assume to check the charging rate I put a tester across the terminals and look for a reading from 12 to 15 volts, but how can I check for a drain mate??

The Alternator should be charging between 13.5 and 15 volts, to check for drain disconnect either of the battery negative terminals and then measure the voltage between the disconnected lead and the batteries negative terminal. Small voltage readings are acceptable but anything substantial obviously isnt. To check which circuit it is just pull the fuses until the voltage reading drops, that is the circuit that has the short. Does everything work ok when she is running i.e. blowers powerful, wipers still fast etc. my alternator went a few weeks ago and the windscreen wipers wouldnt move. Let us know how you get on. CARL.

I replaced both of mine from a local Tyre and Battery specialist with 80amp hour big muthas cost after haggle £94 fitted. but beware the big batts do not always fit the trays and something too large in the top one could interfere with the oil cooler and spark out!!

You have been warned.
