First let me apologise if I have posted this in the wrong place but I'm having a bit of a headache with this.Having purchased the car from a large dealer in the southampton area it has been back to the garage three times for a running problem. When you are driving along the car seems to back off and surge also when it does this if you are trying to go up hill at say 2-3000rpm all of a sudden it goes as flat, no go what so ever in fact my old renault megane 1.4 had more pull. Now you can cure the problem for a while by changing down a thrashing the t*ts of it for a few seconds but then the problem creeps back. I have managed to reproduce the problem with the service manager in the car and to give them credit they are trying to fix it but I have had enough so where do I stand about getting my money back? If the car is spending more time getting fixed then being driven (however this does give me good reason to fire the paj up Laughing ) I am due to collect the car tomorrow if the car is still not right then I want to "reject it" but am unsure of the procedure. Sorry to ramble and for all of you that have read this far thank you.

Things it could are:

Fuel filter.
EGR valve.
Temp sender.
Air mixture stepper motor.
Air mass sensor.

But if they cannot sort it after the 3rd or 4th time then I'd be off to C.A.B. to try to get me dosh back

HTH

Sorry Rusty, I didn't mean that. I think you'll find it's mainly down to two groups of individuals: those with quick fingers, sweaty palms and no conscience, and secondly those who step out of a shunted car with a pain in their neck and £££££s in their eyes. Rolling Eyes

Insurance is definately for the unfortunate, not personal financial improvement!!!
