I HAVE HAD MY MK1 2.5 TD FOR A WEEK NOW AND I HAVE COME ACROSS THE WORST WIRED CAR IN THE WORLD, EVERY TIME I TOUCH ANYTHING (NEW STEREO) I FIND WIRES EVERYWHERE AND ADDED INLINE FUSES. I NEVER OWNED A 4X4 BEFORE IS THIS TYPICAL JAPANESE WIRING OR HAVE I BOUGHT A SWEATY ROTTON DOG?
WHAT KIND OF MOG SHOULD I GET ROUND TOWN, I PUT £50 IN AND I HAVE GOT ROUND 270 MILES IS THIS GOOD OR BAD? THE FUEL WAS @81.9[/b] |

Welcome to the club mate! 
Mine was a bit like that when I got it! I had wires hanging down here, there and everywhere. I put it down to the previous owners ripping all the extras out before it's imported! (CD players, alarms, shower units etc!) You get to find out what everything is when you start putting your own gear in them or fixing stuff  .
I manage around 323 miles around town on about £60 of diesel!
