Hi,
I thought I would just pass on my little tip to anybody else who might have come across the following:
I did'nt know if it was true or not what I had been told about fitting my new bullbar. The supplier said that I would need to remove my nice chrome front bumper top in order to fit the bullbars properly.
It was however true that the chrome bumper top obscured the bullbar fixing bolts and needed to be removed. Having spent £75.00 on it and a chrome grille not too long ago, I was not about to leave it off.
Armed with a tape measure, 60mm Starrat cutter, sharp hacksaw, a file and a lenght of grommet strip, I managed to fit both.
I carefully measured the distance from the grille to the bullbar fixing bolt and again between the centres of the bolts. That gave me a centre point at which to drill 60mm holes (covered cutting area with duck tape and drilled slowly) Once I managed to cut the two holes, I simply needed to cut slots for the front of the bumper to the edge of each hole (4 straight cuts). Quick rub with a file, apply the grommet strip and fit. I managed to install the chrome bumper top after fitting bullbars.
Attached a couple of photos
Hope it helps somebody.
Regards,
