it means you have the power button selected. look down around the ashtray area and you will see a button that has three settings, power, normal and hold. best place for it to be is in the middle for normal driving or else you will see a vast increase in fuel useage.

oh, and caps are considered shouting,

Mike

work out what suits U I use PWR (power) for if I am in the outside lane at traffic lights, I use middle setting for when i feel like a bit more than hold the rest of the time I use hold it basically changes up the gears quicker/lower revs and pwr is at higher revs.

I tried running on HOLD to save fuel but only improved by 1/4 mile per gallon. The downside is the embarrasment when you try to pull out fast onto a main road and you don't. Another effect is that on HOLD you don't get any kick-down when you floor the pedal which is good if you just want to go faster without the fuss but not if you need max acceleration to get past a wagon etc.
I'm back to NORMAL now but some might disagree.

I put it in pwr when I need it although it seems that when it kicks down in th pwr pos it kicks down too much so it could be wise to put it in the normal pos

When I got my truck the HOLD indication on the dash was masked out with black tape. Obviously whoever had it before me drove the car in HOLD all the time.
I'm running around with it in NORMAL and it's just fine. Didn't notice any fuel saving in HOLD.
