I've read loads of posts about using veg oil, and am thinking about giving it a go myself!

The cheapest supplier i've found so far is costco at £8.99 for a 20L drum.

So where do you's get yer oil from and how much do you pay? - hopefully this thread may save us even more cash Very Happy

(don't forget the tax tho Rolling Eyes)

Fitzy I`ve been using it for about 5/6 weeks now. A 50/50 mix means my fuel is costing about 70p a litre.

Sainsburys £1.32 for 3 ltrs I have been using 60 veggi 40 derv a bit lumpy for about 10 seconds on startup and it does smell a bit chippy but the old girl is definately running better. No smoke so all's well I am keeping a log of MPG (so far 28.32 mpg ) and how much I am using I hope that I dont lose the paperwork when its time to send off the duty LoL

Tom

ASDA Value at 33 p per litre has got to be the cheapest so far, that's an absolute bargain. Do you know if that was just a special offer or is it their normal price?

Cheers

Wilkesy.

Local Netto is 43p a litre. Manager thought I was joking when I asked for the 32p stuff. Must go to Asda as a 50/50 mix will give me 63p litre fuel cost.

I've just been doing some sums and the results of which i think you all might find interesting.
My 2.5 LWB Paj was returning 28mpg running on diesel only (this was accurately calculated over the last 3 months).
I have discovered that some users of svo have actually noticed an improvement in mpg of 2+mpg. So lets say that if i run a mix of 50/50 with diesel currently costing me 94ppl and svo costing me 44ppl and i pay the full amount of duty on the svo at 28.5ppl, taking the svo cost upto 72.5ppl and i return 30mpg, my cost per mile would be 12.6p per mile which is 0.3p less than the owner of a petrol car paying 91ppl and returning 32mpg Shocked
However, if i didn't pay any duty, the cost per mile would be 10.5p. I'm too honest to do that though Wink Wink

Sorry if it was a bit garbled, but i needed to share that with you as quickly as possible Wink
