Thanks again guys, another question for you. How do you know of it has a Limited Slip Diff in the back? (I know about jacking the axle up and turning the wheels, but you can't really do that outside someone's house). Is there a badge somewhere or any other telltale signs? |

What is the function of the A/T Mode Switch located adjacent to the cigerette lighter? We have an imported Mark II Pajero 2.8 Exceed diesel.
Thanks |

Normal - as it says for normal driving
Power - as it says, gives extra power for use when overtaking etc.... Use sparingly as you'll drink fuel
Hold - used on slippery surfaces such as snow and ice. It pulls away in 2nd not 1st.

You know something I think its probably been in power all along, since i had it cos I was driving around taking my time (as you do being a respectable woman LMFAO) and I could see the diesel going down! At one point I thought someone was sucking it out of the tank at one point, i will see how it goes now in the middle!
This is the 3rd 4x4 for me now and I was abit shocked how this guzzled, blamed it on the auto and being oldish LOL I hope now to eat my words |

In power mode the autobox goes into second gear earlier and holds it for much longer, turns a 2 and a half tonne wagon into a rocketship. The police down here asked me to do this to test when their new radar/speed gun, they were quite astonished at the results they got, fortunately for me at the time it was quite legal.
I use hold mode when towing a trailer down hill, it holds the autobox in second gear and does assist with braking. |

I tend to use Hold most of the time as I found it helps with saving fuel usage too... |

Is there honestly that much difference in the PWR mode to the normal mode? I find it hard to believe it will go from a snail to a rocket LOL! I will give this a go when i feel I need to waste £10 on fuel in a minute lol! |
