my wife is a manager in morrisons and she tells me that over the last two months the sale of veg oil has gone up 200% and she watches people at the tills all day long buying huge ammounts of the stuff. one customer even wanted to buy a full pallet of the stuff Confused

they have to spend all day just filling the shelf where it is kept.

Went to ASDA in Trowbridge on Saturday and bought the last 7 three litre bottles. As I live in the sticks I need to stock up so went to Tesco as well and they had only four on the shelf. Loads of 1 litre bottles but no big ones.

Went to Tesco in Salisbury on Tuesday (panic buying chip fat Laughing

) Bought a trolley full of 60 litres (20 big bottles) and nothing else. The girl on the till did not even bat an eyelid. Shocked

I find the best place to buy veggie oil is my local asian supermarket. They do the big 20ltr tins and nobody bats an eylid at you buying 2.
