I have never fiddled in my life and would like to put on record that I don`t intend to start now.

I've read this whole thread with great interest. Well done, Wilksey for kicking it off!

I was talking to a guy at work today who I know has a Pajero... I was actually trying to get him to join the Club. Wink

He has been running his 2.5 LWB for two years on 100% veg oil with absolutely NO problems! (He ran his diesel Escort on the same stuff for 12 months prior to this, again with no problems.)

He buys his oil from the local chippy at £1.50 for 25 litres. He leaves it to stand for about two weeks then filters it through muslin and then puts it straight into his fuel tank. He tips the 'sediment' at the bottom of each barrel into an extra barrel and, when it's full, he takes this to a waste oil company who take it off him free of charge.

The only additional maintenance he carries out is to changes his fuel filter every 12 months.

He is registered with C&E and pays the relevant duty.

His truck costs him around 30p per litre to runExclamation

To say I sat there listening to him with my mouth wide open would be an understatement! My bottom jaw was on the floor!!

It's just taking that BIG leap of faith, I guess! Wink

Look guys, using veg oil is ok if you get a professional kit installed. Go to a website called dieselveg.com and they will expalin the full works to you. What you must not do is, get wate veg oil ( wvo) and just assume that it will work, for example; you get veg oil from a place that maked doughnuts, that oil would contain lots of sugar therefore that is a problem!! Any sort of WVO must be treated by using a fltering process.

Please, please study the procedure before experimenting!!

I am in the process of doing a conversion at the moment, as soon as I do get converted I will let you all know of my experiences.

EX103 is not what you need if you are buying new veggie oil to use. I had a letter from Billy Fox about my application I rang him up & he says as I am not producing biodiesel all I need to do is write a letter explaining my intentions & this will register me to use veggie oil. have already sent the letter back so should be registered soon.

Greg, if you rt clk on the letter, then left clk on `save picture as`and send to `my docs` or my pictures. You can then enlarge it there. Hope you can see what I mean. Anyhow it works.

No beektor, he's saving the best bit till last, but what I have read in the booklet they sent me its .4710p which is what I am expecting C & E to say so it won't be a shock when they tell me, look we live in Gt Britain so I expect to be ripped off, comes with being a hardworking tax paying never claimed anything individual, I expect nothing less.
