Hmmmmm - as usual I am the devil's advocate. Generally I don't keep my motors long and in the past I have not signed up with a lot of sites (motor or otherwise) because of the charge. Often I had answers to help others out but couldn't cos I wasn't paid up. Is why I voted leave it alone. I do believe this is a great site, I wouldn't be a user if there had been a charge. |

Don't know if this thread is nearly finished,but................I think that it's fine as it is 8) Simon, I, and I know alot of other's have and will keep contributing to the club.I'm not technically/mechanically minded ,( or even literate sometimes ), and cant write a two page thread on how to change the bulb's in the dash board. I can however paypal a fiver every now and then just to help out The bulb info alone would have cost me 4 times as much if the paj had been in a garage ! There are people on this site tho that can tell you how to convert your paj to veg oil!!!! or even offer to come and service your paj and you just pay for part's ! OFFROADDRIVER!!. The people that like to contribute do , and the people that don't, don't There's no need that i can see, to make people register for anything on this site. If people start registering then they may feel owe'd something and i dont think that is what you or the club as a whole want 8) 8) I just get a warm fuzzy feeling as soon as someone mentions " super select " |

Every contribution that I have put towards the Tech forums on this site is intended for the use of everyone not for the use of those that register as contributing members. In this respect I do not wish for my contributions to be blocked to non members! |

personally i think we should have a time limited free registration ie a guest can browse for so long and then ask for full membership if they dont this would just delete the membership when they do join then a membership pack should be sent in exchange for a donation if required ie yds list of available discounts etc i also think a newsletter which is available to these pre reg members would be a good incentive for them to become a full member this gives people choice if they like it fine join if not no problem things just carry on again i cant stress enough the personally i feel multilevel memberships will not work, based on my own feelings would i pay now...probably would i have paid at the start no if i could see a sample say 7 days worth of what the club offers then i probably would have paid at the time |

OK Voted YES....However the idea to allow a short registration free trial period would allow people to see the high quality of help available appeals to me. It would then be easier for them to justfy the effort. |

Hi all, I finally decided to get joined up. I have just purchased a 92 SWB 2.5 paj (which i bought cause of info on this site).
I like this site- very good!! lots of important info, and members have a great attitude- thanks! |
Would this happen if new members had to pay? I'm not so sure! |

I think there is a misunderstanding here ....and it might be me ???
The original post says nothing about paying. It refers to registering and logging on. I took this literally. Doesn't it mean that people would not be able to view the Tech forum as "guests". |
