Ok,

JUst got my Pajero 2.5 LWB Exceed - love it. Anyway - going to also buy a caravan - looing at 19-21 ft ones as got a family of 4. As I have never towed before I am quite concerned about snaking etc. Should I fit a Alko stabiliser?

Thanks

Scott

I wouldn't worry about an alcopop stabiliser - any stabiliser will do - it's purely a matter of personal preference.

If you have a choice avoid the Alco 3004 (the new one)
It works fine but its a b@stard to hitch up, go for an older Alco or a Winterhoff.

Cheers

dont go for a winterhoff ithas a silly name go for an alkcoooooo it sounds better and i still cant spell it.
in all seriousness if you buy a caravan especially out of the dealer it will probably have one.
but if it doesnt deff get one stops you getting a heart attack when you get a bit of side wind.

I'd go for the Winterhoff as you can hitch up with the rear door closed and the handle not fouling the spare wheel, unlike the alko where the cheeky barstewards cocked the design up and then take the pi$$ and charge you an extra 20 or 30 for a replacement handle that you have to keep taking on and off Rolling Eyes

As far as performance goes theres nothing between them its just brand loyalty.
