Hi all, I've just had a quote for a 95 Delica 2.8TDi. I'm 44, with 6 years no claims but a speeding ticket 4 years ago (seems companies are starting to refuse payouts if you don't declare!) Car will do around 5000 miles a year, business use as well as pleasure (I'm a teacher and occasionally ferry students about) I am having a Cat 1 alarm fitted, but fully comp with protected no claims has come out at £340. This seems reasonable, as my current car, an Alfa 164 2.0litre is costing over 150 more through my current insurers.

Does anyone have any comments / views. My current insurers, Endsliegh, quoted £540, and Tescos was £460. Neither would give me protected no claims. HWG claim they specialise in 4X4 and MPV and are happy to insure imports. They'll do the usual insurance based on chassis number for registration purposes.

I insured my Paj through this broker last month,as did a friend of mine on her Toyota Celica import.

I fouind them cheaper than anyone else I tried.Also I found them Knowledgable and helpful.Obviously I haven't used thier claims service and hope I never have to.

weird how these companies can vary so much for exactly the same quote

got one today from HWG and they quoted £773..........

went with AON yesterday for £450
