After reading the thread regarding the trouble some people have had with finding out if there motor has had the piman arm done or not , if you go to :

Mitsubishi Motors Online Enquiries <-- Click to link

and fill out the form saying that you are having trouble finding out if the pitman arm needs doing, you should receive an email the next day from Emma Bacon who will gladly find out for you. Very helpfull indeed.

emailed em on saturday, got a reply yesterday telling me they have contacted the factory (i presume Japan) to find out what outstanding recalls i have, if any. Will let you know when i get the next email Wink

Brian & Roger , I received email saying they would contact the factory (japan) on the monday , i received email from emma on the wednesday saying.... Pitman arm had been done on 15th November 2002 at 161,384k, there are no other recalls showing on your vehicle v-44.....
Fast and efficient for me.

Just got in from work e-mail from MMC saying they are checking and will get back to me. A FAR better service than the one I got from the Main "dealer" will keep you posted.

well done rallycross, sent Emma e-mail with details, pitman arm requires replacing under recall, will book the paj in on Mon, this after Colt uk said there was no recalls on my motor, once again well done your a top man

I used this link and got a reply back from a chap called David Hanna.
Sent deatails to Japan for me and it took about a week to come back.
Outstanding recall on Pitman arm and Cold start device lever safety rectification work. Told me to book it in at local dealer and take a copy of the email with me to show them in case they don't want to know ( not all like Ivor and Steve are they Very Happy )

Just got back from getting muddy all weekend in the Brecon Beacons e-mail from Emma saying Pitman arm requires changing take copy of e-mail to local main "dealer" and book the beast in.This was a most useful link which I feel should be highlighted to ALL. My thanks to the originator.
