I have a LWB 24v 3.5 V6 Shogun (manual) and it appears the rear lights under the rear fog lights are not working. What should these be? Extra brake lights? Could it be the wiring?

Imports have the following a standard and some get disconected for the SVS test.

4 red side lights. (2+2) 4 brake lights. (2+2)
2 indictors, (1 either side)
2 reversing lights (1 either side)

all in the cluster

rear fog lights are normally an after thot and under the bumper is the norm.

If you have fog lights within the cluster then my bet is that someone has modified it to keep the lights together
Maybe one of the modified conections have came undun.
2 screws releases the cluster to check BUT beware, the 2 clips assisting the screws are not to user friendly and break easy.

Hope all this helps and I stand corrected if some cars differ form mine

The cluster is the rear light unit, the bit the bulbs fit into.

Cheers

Steve,
you say you have a SHOGUN, these have a different rear light arrangement to our pajero friends.
in the BUMPER you should have combined stop & tail plus indicators.
in the auxillary cluster, mounted in the corner pillars you should only have 2 x fog lights and 2 x reversing lights, the rest of the cluster is unused.
P.S. if you have a pajero then i am talking complete bo**o*s...

Hi. Thanks for that - you are dead right! I have had the cluster off and the top lights are unused. I will contact Mitsubishi for the parts and wire them up myself i think from the brake lights in the bumper. Thanks for your help!
Very Happy
