Well guys, looks like I've bin and gone and dun it !!

Found a very nice 92 Swb Pajero. Private reg, so no
year letter. Decided not to dive in too deep for my
first time.

The only snag, which the garage say they will sort, is
that it seems to want to go left !!. Had a good look at
the chassis etc and it all seems Ok, so It could just be
tracking.

Oh !! and when you engage 4wd the front offside indicator
doesn't come on !!. That's probably be the bulb

Got a quote of £322 from Lifesure for me and the missus,
which is £120 less than my van !!.

That's about it, hopefully picking it up next week.

Now all I need is someone to explain all the ruddy
controls to me !!

Btw, I've never had one before but how do you check
an auto box is ok ??. It kicks down ok and doesn't feel
like it's slipping ??

If it does as well as my van, which has never missed
a beat in eight years, it'll be doing pretty good !!

My Baby

Considering its a '92 Paj, you cant expect everything to work as new so expect teething probs, most commonly electrical...........is the garage giving you any kind of warranty?....idealy say 3 months, which would give you time to sort out any probs which arise.........the auto boxes on these Paj's seem remarkably reliable but only time will tell..........hope you get years of enjoyment from you new purchase Very Happy Very Happy

Cheerz, yeah there's a three month warranty with it.

'Fine' and 'Toothcomb' spring to mind..

I'm not expecting it to be perfect at this age and bits I'll fix myself.
But all major 'Organs' will be checked out thoroughly. I hope I don't
find anything !!

Strange, I'm looking into the forum from my new laptop, and Vanner's "banner" is moving here! The waterbit flows.

If you could amend your location you may find that there is a fellow owner nearby who could possibly come over and give some advise/guidance re the controls, etc

Have to start thinkin' about a new signature for the Pajero..

Btw this is where I learned to do it !!
http://www.albany.edu/cetl/resources/howtos/animation.html

As for the controls, I have got a mate who has the older shape
one, so I can hopefully pick up the general idea from him !!

Anyway, 'Press-it-and-See" Laughing

I tend only to use Adobe Photoshop to do the pix
and Imageready for the animations. I haven't done
much with Paint Shop Pro. But if you need any tips,
I'll give it my best shot !!
