For a manual with better wiring diagrams, in fact it compliments the Haynes very well......... go to the club shop (link is in header above), and buy a copy of Russeks.

As for the double battery, it has been mentioned many times on here. If you do a "search" using the the link above (in the header), type in Winter Pack, and you will be enlightened  Laughing

Can anybody enlighten me as to why i have 2 batteries in my 1993 2.8 LWB please. I have a problem stating at the moment and wondered if the battery was flat or was anything more sinister.

Thanks in anticipation

There are 2 batteries on most pajeros ... for the harsh japanese winters.  These batteries work in parallel with each other, so generally if you have a 'flat' battery, it will drag the other one down with it.

Have a Search for 'battery AND Parallel'  Wink

or look here

Ahem. Laughing winter pack.aids cold starting  special version for Japan you should have a orange and red stickerby the wheel on the back door whch denotes this.....problem is when a battery goes AWOL it usually drags the other one down and then you end up paying for 2 new ones  Evil or Very Mad

There are two batteries in a Paj which has the "Winter Pack" fitted...... this was designed to help overcome the problems that cars experience in the extreme winters that they have in certain areas of Japan. The winter pack has various things that other Pajs don't have, but these vary just as much as any other toys found in one Paj compared to another.
