93 Mk2 Pajero, has an interior temperature sensor mounted in the cowling below the steering wheel. All it is is a thermister on a plug in lead from what I can tell, but mine is missing....

Anyone know what value thermister it is, and whether its PTC or NTC?

I'm just trying to save time on having to connect a pot up to it and work it out myself, and I'm getting sick of the pod showing --.- for the interior temperature!

I'm also curious as to why mitsu didn't just use the one on the climate control, which in my case works fine! But hey......

There are a few threads around, but consensus is:
1K NTC thermistor, available from farnell or RS components

Tor Inge, where do I send it?

For all the rest of ya, sorry, they are now depleted!! Its worth someone putting an order through (they are really dirt cheap) and opening up the free shop again!

Note: I discovered these are probably not the same as the factory default components, as the temp readings are a little off... It may be fine on yours...

My temperature display will not switch from external to internal.
Is this because the sinternal sensor could have failed?
Ive removed the display and the push button works ok.
DO all of the models with Compass and Temp display combined, display the internal and external temp.
By the way got a replacement lamp from Maplins bit smaller but works fine 69P each part type. BT43

Not a big deal I know but the "Indoor outdoor" gauge is showing for indoor -26 c which I believe means a fault?  I have read that a thermistor might need replacing and soldering could any one please point me to the location of the sensor in my a 3 door Pajero and how easy is it to fix, I can get the thermistor from Maplins or RSS so that is not a problem and I can stretch to doing a bit of soldering (I think), any help would be appreciated trouble with me I am a Virgo and everything has to at least work in some fashion!  Very Happy

it's on the steering wheel column (a small silver plate)
it's probably been knocked by a knee at some point

to change/fix it simply remove steering wheel cowling
unplug the connector, and replace  Wink
