I'll have to second www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/ it's not just the forums but the whole site is excellent, has loads of up to date reviews on campsites plus more info than you could ever need. Infact to the wife it's now a part of her life. We've also been on a meet with some of the members & had an absolutely brilliant time (looking forward to seeing a lot of them again at the weekend for the 4x4 meet at Malton). If you're a camper or caravanner it's a must! But be aware - it's addictive!!! (a lot like POCUK!)

I have to say I have joined and been on most of the caravan forums and for me the only site is caravanning 4u It is far from bitchy and everyone is very friendly. Im saying nothing about the others but put it this way I wont post on them anymore.

Theres some right drivel posted here.........LMFAO.

MOST of them forums are either sponsored or heavily subsidised, which means they are biased in one way or another. You cant ask certain questions or you get banned for asking *touchy* questions which are not on the agenda.

I know, ive been knocking around ALL OF THEM since 1998.

Of course if your quite happy to sit and read what is deemed right for you to read, then fine.

Oh and yes ive been banned from them all at one stage or another, for various reasons such as...........asking a *moderator* why they removed my post just because i disagreed with their point of view..............why i was warned and then banned because i wanted to know the legalities on filling your own gas bottles (Calor sponsored site, figure it yourself)......etc etc etc.

To be quite fair there is 2 i currently frequent which i think are spot on:

touring and tenting............more like a family and pretty much anything is acceptible as long as common sense applied. Also the owners are on regularly, which is a rarity on forums.

caravantalk.

Commonly referred to as CT2 as its the 2nd generation of the original forum.

CT2 is the more serious of the 2. Most people who frequent one frequent the other, but its a different atmosphere. T and T you can have a right laugh some days but the information and knowledge on there is priceless. Same thing with CT2 without the humour.

T and T is my all time favourite.
