To late for apoligies, border now closed, import duty on any Pajero that enters Wales, extra if your Scouse,
No more lanes, or recovery unless you swear to hold the Red Dragon in your heart.
And no way is Tiger allowed back any way.

if we go along with the idea of splitting the club into smaller groups the problem we may come across is that old demon politics some people may think if they are given a different club title eg wales pocuk or scotland pocuk that that group may be more important than the whole group and they may like the idea of having of a say than some other people and this may then cause splits within the group, which will only be a bad thing |

We actually went through this with the steering group, and many more possibilities, at the time, and I still think this way, there is no need to split in regions, have local meets yes, but to run as separate clubs wasn't and wont be a viable proposition to POCUK.Com as a whole.
We should carry on looking forward, but as I say, the steering group tried, and it does need coordination of all idea's,
I personally dont agree with committee's etc, if your a committee member, some, as has been shown in many organisations, get power hungry, will not be democratic,in as much if something goes the opposite way to what they wanted, they throw the dummy out etc.
It is a delicate situation here in POCUK, we are spread worldwide, and of course, all over UK, so, how would one develop this, say for instance here in Wales, do we have a South Wales branch, a North Wales branch, do we object to the Midlands coming to North Wales using our lanes, causing problems for us the locals etc etc, sorry, been there in the 70's and 80' with the Association of motor clubs here in Wales, divided, and very very protective of local roads etc, to the point that rules came into force, voluntary closed runs etc, and that is how it has been since.
So, lets be one big family, here in Pajero land, enjoy what we have, meet as we do, socialise late into the night, but lets stick together. that's the main thing.
WE NEED TO LOOK AT MEMBERSHIP FEES. Not voluntary, mandatory, you want something, you pay for it, simple, but how, Oh how do we do it, without fall out.
So in between, we must support Simon, donate, shop in the club shop, have fund raising meets etc.
Lets try and keep it the club it was, Simon's club, supported by members. |

Maybe I've misunderstood ...
the POCUK won't be breaking out into 'POCUK Yorkshire', 'POCUK Wales', 'POCUK ... ' ...

Im with Richie & good news not to split the club!
As a newbie i have found it a great place to be.As to paid membership ect ect im for it, but have a question. The amount of members we already have how many DONT or havent paid the £5 for yellow diamonds?
When i went looking for them i seen i could get em for free, but i was more than happy & proud to pay the small amount of £5. Even thou id just been sacked & no possibilty of returning to work till new year!
Unfortunatley alot of people are not like this & prefer to take things for granted!
Rant over!
What about the for sale section, maybe a small charge or maybe donation when sold?
Someone made a leaflet on here(maybe onan) if every member placed one of these on at least 2/3 pajs localy im sure we'd get more here.
Sorry if these are already in motion just ideas.
Fund raising Well let me know how i can help & i'll do my bit.
One other thing i quite like spotting Y/Ds if they were everywhere kids would be bored on long trips. LOL

Agreed, deffo keep it one club ..... why dilute it at all !!! the natural grouping etc happens anyway due to geography ....
as said, many thoughts and ideas were discussed about 2 or 3 years ago, with a steering comittee, several changes have been happening over the years, as the club grows ... some you will have noticed, others you may not have !!
the intention of this thread wasn't to say .... wow, radical change around the corner !!! ... it was just to see what folks could think of to keep the improvements coming ......
it seems a recurring one about raising money .... perhaps if every time someone saves some dosh due to this club, they put a quid or 2 or a %age saved to one side .... when it reaches a nominal amount, send it in to Admin ....... maybe it going into a fund destined for something as suggested earlier ...? .... (now, it doesn't work in reverse for those who bought a paj because of the club and all it has done has cost em money !!! )

How about FREE membership but Restricted areas. kinda like the 10 post rule but in reverse.
You can only post 10 times for free. (still friendly)
Cant take advantage of club discounts (ins & breakdown ect)
For sale section (view or post)
pm a member ect ect
The great thing about this club is its friendly & helpfullness to what are complete strangers. Whatever happens that must remain.

I am a member of this club yet i dont own a pajero
I go to meets up and down the country (approx 1 a month)
most of the forums are of no use to me yet i still visit every day and look round
I have met a lot of new people through here and enjoy reading posts
A joining fee where in return for your cash you get YDs to promote the club and unlimited access to all forums
As said befor 10 free posts (on limited topics)or is it possible to do read only sections
i am sure the active members here will agree that a £5 fee once a year is nothing compared to what you can get out of the info posted
as for not owning a paj i am looking at getting one but does a shogun count |
