Bought a HID kit at the weekend so will be fitting it as soon as it arrives. I opted for the 10000k heat/light output as they give off a nice blue-ish colour. |

These HID lights are fantastic, its like driving in daylight.
Took less than an hour to fit and have that Merc BMW blue tint to them. |

Anything from around £60 to over £100 depending on what you want.
Mine are hi/lo beam 10000k brightness/colour and cost around £90 for the complete kit. |

£90 for bright lights whats wrong with legal power driving/spot lights how many oncoming motors have flashed their main beam at you to turn yours down as they think you are on main beam my lorry has adjustable beam heights and i used to get flashed at regularly which is blinding and distracting |

We can all be literally blinded by a candle if it's in front of a badly aligned lens. The secret is the lens & bigger wattage (possibly illegal) bulbs won't make much difference (I have tried). Newer designs of headlamps such as the Wipac units I bought recently, throw an excellent beam that anyone should be more than happy with as long as they're correctly aligned! Xenons or HID's as some like to call them, are desirable when driving faster than any Pajero was designed to be driven. I have them on another (fast) car but wouldn't think of putting them on a Paj. |

That's Glue isn't it? I think my specially tuned 5 Series just might be a tab quicker hence the need for somewhat better candles. |

I dont understand why HID's need to be on a fast car. The light is no brighter or hotter, just a better 'throw' of light. Well that's what i've found on mine. No-one has complained either when travelling towards me or in front of me travelling in the same direction. I have asked friends around the area to tell me if there's a problem and have had only positive responses.
The only person to say anything negative was a work colleague who said that one light was slightly out of alignment which was quickly fixed with the turn of a screwdriver.
I like them, I'm keeping them |

I mentioned the fiver as a comparison of cars speed capabilities so I wasn't on the wrong forum any more than somebody mentioning a Landi or anything else. The better lights are appreciated at high speed more than could perhaps be justifiable on a slower 4x4 but clearly that's a matter of opinion. Nothing wrong with good lamps at all. |

I don't quite see where this post is going, there is a simple things called speed limits on normal roads!! unless your traveling around a race track at night mmh! or in Germany on certain autobahns,
Yes de-restricted BMW's do have much faster top end speed than a Evo paj/Shogun i know I've owned one BUT at the end of the day top speed isn't everything i like to see where im going at night with out offending others plus also you cannot beat the feeling of driving a EVO as i think everyone on this forum would agree preferable during the day.
BMW - EVO no contest been there done that |
