I appreciate concerns regarding the distance of which some would have too travel.

I can only vouch for my local knowledge of the area and having read recent threads of what people are looking for, this area fits the general outline of their requirments.

I know that wherever the meet will take place some of us will have a large amount of miles to cover.

Whilst looking on the POW site for details of the facilities for tent types i notice they won't allow children under 16 on the caravan site.
Still it looks a great place for a visit and I would love to be able to tell the girls friends they were being sent off to a Prisoner of war camp for their holidays  Laughing

There also seems plenty to see and do.  Its about 175 miles from us so I see it a a feasable long weekend, even if we can't stay on site. Nice one.

Witton Castle camping & caravan park.

If your travelling from the South, you'll drive past here. It's about 10 mins from the POW camp and does allow children.

I reckon your right about 2 mega meets mudcom, the chances are most will make it to 1 of them.

How about a poll Simon, 1 or 2 mega meets?

Very Happy wherever it may take place, we like to make a holiday of it...

lets have a look at whats happening next year......

my guess is there will be two at filey one early summer (say early may), one aug bank holiday.....

there will also be abingdon in sept, and a couple of wales bashes late on (sept, oct)

and there will always be a couple in Derbyshire

the north east lads are sorting stuff out, and the norfolk posse always come up with summat

i come to the conclusion, that a mega meet in which we try to get as many as possible to attend should be around warwick, northampton or cambridge.....if it is to be inland, if its gonna take place on the may bank holiday weekend,
other than that date and jae would be the ideal spot in peterborough

Idea two on the same weekends sounds good to me

just my opinion, im easily pleased wherever
