I noticed one thing when I held them side-by-side......
One was white faced......and the other was silver!
but seriously....how silver is silver? ...and it depends on the picture too |

Here's the manual version of the fuel gauge
I didn't need this one as I used the automatic version
I've photographed it on white paper, so you can see how silver they are

If you look at my pic below, you can see why I thought they look the same!
I think they look brill, I was going to get some of those luminescent ones but they didnt do a 2.5 version so I had the Lockwoods instead.
Then I found out that the luminescent ones tend to fade anyway so I made a wise choice!
BTW, not got as much fuel in as yours either Andy! |

When you see pics of the silver dials, they do look white because of the light reflecting off them, so I photographed the spare one against white, to show the difference
I was unsure which to go for, white/silver, but as soon as I saw them side by side I knew the silver ones were the right choice to match my steel wheel centre
I'm well happy with them
When I took my old ones out, my engine was warm, so I ran the engine warm again so I could put the rev counter in the correct position
BTW my fuel gauge was almost as low as yours 2 hours earlier |
