|
|
Hi everyone , i was searching for the EGR valve in my 96 mk2 Pajero 2.5 Disel , but i can not find it , or even a mounting for it , from what i saw on the internet its a round almost tea pot like shaped , and its next to the Wast gate of the turbo wich is of a simular shape , but i can not find anything , not even mounting holes for it incase it was removed . Acording to photo s it should be near the entery for the intercooler pipe that conects to the inlet manifold , but i see nothing there .
Is it possible that this mk2 has no EGR from Factory? |

Maybe a previous owner has changed the inlet manifold for one off a Shogun - I don't think Shoguns had EGRs fitted. |

Have you got the two bolts (and a blanking plate) on the exhaust manifold where the EGR pipe joins - or maybe they have changed the exhaust manifold as well. |

Not all markets had EGR - for example if your Pajero is an EU model rather than Japanese then it probably won't have it.
Some people assume that all Pajeros are Japanese - but in fact they were called Pajero everywhere apart from the UK, USA, Canada and most South American countries. It doesn't usually give any trouble on the 2.5 anyway - mine is still working fine, with just a light dusting of soot in the pipe. It's done over 200,000 km and never been cleaned out. |

Looks like it was never fitted - less to go wrong! |
