alienidea, you will need 7.8 litre if you are changing the filter aswell, I always use Mitsubishi filters, they are pricey, about £30 but you know they are right for the job. I always use 5W40 fully synthetic not so much for the engine as the Turbo, but it can't hurt the engine. Very Happy

Hi, get yourself 7 ltrs of oil, my 2.8 takes 6 and a bit ltrs with filter.Halfords should be able to get a filter for you if not in stock,I got a unipart item there last year.Make sure you have a big enough catch tank for the old oil tho!!! old filter may have a drain nut on the bottom of it, cut a 2ltr cola bottle in half & drain the filter prior to removal. 8)

Hi people why not go to get your oil and filter changed at cwik- fit??
sometimes they have a special offer on. The last 2 times i've only paid £13.99 & £14.99  price  includes filter motorcraft and mobil decent oil. They bring your motor in on the ramp drop your filter and oil and put a new one on then fill with oil, they then get the works manager to check it. I thought this was not bad for the money they even give you a receipt telling you when it was done, how many miles and suggested miles to change it again. They say 6000 miles I change at 4000 but at that price you dont mind.
There will probably be some folk who wont touch  K-F with a barge pole but for 15 quid odd you dont have to get your hands dirty, also if they break it they pay for it.
You do have to ring up and book it for the following day cos they didn't have my filter in and had to order it.

HTH best regards
Den. Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

I get my oil filter from a local motor factors for £10, and mineral oil from Tesco's and change them both every 4000 miles. Not too bad a job to do yourself.

Try here for your oil filter ---> http://www.mitsubishi-parts-and-accessories.co.uk/products.php?productId=10&categoryId=38&page=1

Mention your with the Club of course and they do a discount if I am not mistaken.

I've just started using 15/40 mineral with a tin of oil booster in it, and it runs superb at the moment.
