Evening all !

I'm selling my old MR2, but the tax has run out. I've said I'll sell it with tax so my problem starts here. I'm no longer insured on it as the policy has swapped over to the Pajero. Now, what is the shortest period of insurance that I can get to cover it, or do I have to do a years & then cancel it & claim it back ??

Any ideas on how to get around it ????

Cheers

Stevie

Just be naughty!!

Get insurance, get the cover note, just dont sign the agreement and dont pay, cover will be cancelled after 14 days!!

(if you crash or get it robbed in the 14 days, send the cheque Wink )

3. Can I use Norwich Union's Short Term Insurance policy to obtain a UK road fund licence?

No. Whilst short term insurance certificates provide evidence of insurance in the format prescribed by the Road Traffic Act legislation, DVLA or UK Post Offices will not accept these certificates for road fund licence purposes.

Bu**er !

To be honest mate, its probably easier to knock the price down and sell without tax!

Let the buyer sort it out!  Wink
