Hi

Does the Challenger have the same suspension as the Shogun sport? I have read that these trucks use leaf springs
on the rear is that right? Or is the suspension the same as the Pajero?

Thanks

Shogun Sport fella ...the Sport/ Challenger is basically a Warrior Pick up with back seats and a roof........nowt wrong with that but thats the way they build em' so expect leafs........however have a look underneath at if yours is an Import .as there is none the same  Rolling Eyes
and you may have a Paj rear end ..........really

Thanks Nick

Don't suppose you know what year they were do you? The Challenger went through an update in late 97 where they ditched the 3.0 V6 for the 3.5 Gdi and upgraded the diesel with the electronic pump and trim. I had the GDi in my Paj and apart from the torque convertor was ok, though carboned up which I think was due to the previous owner using normal unleaded and never changing the oil. The tip box though was great for towing which is all I want to use it for. Trying to find a 3.5 V6 Paj is difficult all are the GDi's going through the auctions in Japan. The diesels, even the 2.8 are fetching good money and i'm not really a diesel fan, I won't be using it much so fuel consumption not an issue to be honest.

my challenger as coil springs on the rear have looked on milners and do not show coil springs for sale on 2.5 or 3.0 so maybe coil springs are only on 2.8 but i maybe wrong all i know is my rear are coils hope that helps as for mpg i do not think theres that much difference but heard a few fuel pumps failing on 3.5 gdi

Hi my 3.5GDI has coil springs on the back, Its a 1997 import, I've now starting running it on tesco 99ron fuel and what a difference it makes to the drive, plus running 99ron you get full power from the engine, 99-100 ron is about 245bhp, normal unleaded only gets you about 220bhp, I love my challenger so much Im thinking of buying a 2.5 or 2.8 deisel to run on bio fuel or chip oil.
