did you put clear fuel lines on? I think you have to eliminate air in from the pickup pipe first |

Pump seals dont generally cause problems on the 2.5s, infact the only time they need doing is when they leak diesel....... your problem is more likely to be heater plug related |

I have just replaced the heater plugs and noticed relay not clicking in correctly going to take a peek tomorrow but I'm suffering with it back draining to the tank
Could that be in the filter housing if the seals are generally ok ? |

why not put in a non return valve and see if that makes a difference. Although I would say yest to an air leak if the fuel is going back over night |

If working correctly on a 2.5 the pre start heater plug relay will be energised for around 1 second..... did you fit the right plugs? (6 or 6.5 volt) |

Yep just one second as they are 6 volt plugs heated by 12 volt..... if you have a manual push button your best off fitting 11 volt plugs from a 2.8 as you can hold the button in for more than 2 seconds and not worry about burning them out |

Is there a Nrv in the diesel filter ?
I'm wondering if it's leaking back from there seeing it's rare for 2.5 seals to go
Cheers Marc |

Hi
Been reading lots of comments and opinions on this subject and some say they have problems when 1st starting and others when the car has warmed up .
The problem Im having is now and again over the last 12 months my pajero struggles to start initially but once started runs fine , could this symptom be the fuel pump seals or something else ??
Thanks |
