Trevor - I can't get there on the 25th due to other commitments but am looking forward to venturing off road and will be keeping an eye out for some of the other club runs: I've already got a set of off-road tyres with wheels, tow rope and bits so I'm ready to go. Hope you have a good day. Confused

So who was in the Silver PajEvo on the hard shoulder of the M3 this evening helping the police with their enquiries?! I do hope we're not getting a reputation for excessive speed in our machines Shocked 8)

Trevor - Yes to Beaulieu and a likely yes to Abingdon.

Re the off-road tyres. I bought my PajEvo at auction on Japan - my one concern was that it was being sold with very decent off-road tyres and wheels: Had it been hammered off-road? My agent checked out the car underneath - in fact it had hardly been off road at all and the ‘macho’ wheels & tyres were for 'show'. So I bought the car.

Prior to all this, when looking in the UK for a PajEvo, I looked at a very nice, but very pricey white coloured one in Oxford - it had wide 20" wheels with very low profile tyres. The owner had taken off the original wheels & tyres.

So, knowing my Jap PajEvo had off-road tyres I made an offer to the Oxford guy and paid him £400 for the original type wheels & road tyres. The tyres were worn by about 1000mls and are UK spec so that all helped re the SVA etc. Obviously I use the 'road' tyres for day to day running around - then do a 20 second pit stop to change the wheels when I need them for off-road.

A bit long winded - but that's the tale Confused

If anyone is still looking for a Paj EVO, a friend is selling this.

I'm just hosting the pics but mail me and I'll pass any questions on.

hi evo 4x4,

so, is that mean you have two set of the original 16" wheels and will you consider to sell one set of them?? because i'm looking for a set of original wheels quite a some times now! ( mine evo was fitted with a set of 18" wheels when i bought it) I am willing pay the same price of what you paid or higher! any chance?

looking for your reply.

Kingman - Sorry. I have two sets of wheels. One for off-road the other for on-road. Neither are for sale.
The off-road ones were on the car when I bought it in Japan: they are aftermarket 8J wheels with mud terrain tyres.
I then bought the 'factory' fit 16" wheels with road tyres in the UK from a PajEvo owner in Wallingford near Oxford. He had 18" or 20" low profile type wheels/tyres on the car he was selling - a white PajEvo. I made him an offer he couldn't refuse for the 'factory' wheels and tyres he had in his garage and now use them for day to day running. (Just thought - did you buy that car?)

Have you tried under 'Wanted' on this site? Sorry I can't assist more.

Kingman,

Try the web and partfinder.co.uk.... Type in your details and all manner of salvage yards will ring you with possibilities. Also, Range motors (4X4) of Poole had a set of mk 3 / 4 wheels and tyres. It was some weeks ago I saw them but they looked good. Original Evo Wheels ??? Try Japan... gulp !
