very good thanks for that.

Assuming all your data is correct (which i'm sure it is) it is worth noting that some models may have upgraded optionals fitted, so may not match your descriptions completely.
For example, mine is a Series 2 Mark2, so I assume the digital compass I have, was selected as an optional extra, or was fitted at a later date.

Cheers
Joel

Often one hears them being refered to as NM,NP,NS,NT etc. I am sure it would be handy if there was this reference in your already handy guide?

i have a 2.8 mk2 and there's no way it's got a 90L tank on it.  maybe there's others out there that do, but i know for sure that mine doesn't.

i've run it down to literally just fumes and actually run out once and have always filled it to the brim of the filler on every fuel stop and never gotten more than 80L of fuel in it in one go.

The tank on the 2.8 is definitely smaller and its capacity is less. The larger tanks are for the 3.5 V6 from what i know.

Sweet! So our Shogun is only 1855mm high eh?  Twisted Evil

That means it'll fit under the 1.9m barrier at the toll plaza for paying car rate and not over inflated commercial rate  Twisted Evil

My Mate took my Fuel Tank off because it had been belted from u/neath , he changed it for the smaller of the two mentioned but also told me that the tank was a bad design because there was at least a gallon if fuel left in the bashed up tank and he said that there was No Way that this fuel was EVER going to come out and that the way the baffles are situated during construction that this gallon or more would never be able to be used, so betweenThe pick up pipe and the baffling of the tank there was a mistake made during the construction..... this is what he found out so maybe that those missing litres are hidden in the void of the tank where No fuel once put in will never come out again.

Oh! and my vehicle is a SWB Mk2 Paj 2.5 auto J reg
Eleg.
