Just to tell anyone who is looking for a honest buy on a Jap import, go & visit Chequered Flag in Leeds.
I have recently purchased a Lovely Lucida from Steve (the owner).
Brilliant bus..... but did have a couple of issues over sale. However... Steve turned out to be more than reasonable & issuues were amicablely resolved to both our satisfactions.
I found him very easy to talk to & down to earth (my level)
I would highly recommend Chequered Flag to anyone.
Malc.
Still missing my Paj |

Just a recommendation for this Importer, Steve and Mick couldn't have done enough to help with my purchase. Not the cheapest around but you get what you pay for. I travelled from N Devon to Leeds to look at their stock and was impressed with customer service and their vehicles. As previously stated not the cheapest avaible but honest good low mileage trucks. After service excellent. |

I live at the top of the street from these guys who I get to do the work on my Paj.
Cant fault the cars they have... pristine and literally 'under wraps'.
As you say, not the cheapest - but well looked after.
I've been a bit hot 'n cold with them recently on servicing/repairs - but I do have piece of mind that the cars been looked over well.
Example - they've told me that I have the wrong glowplugs in mine so a bit of a beggar starting. They wanted £200 to stick in MItsi plugs - With using this forum I stuck in my own pre-heat button and its fine! So saved some dough in the short term.
Steve, Andy & Craig are all decent chappies.. |

He-he... Thats what I thought! Thats why I couldnt take him up on his offer of providing with a replacement for my current run of duffers.
When you only want a part-time truck and spending £1-2000 then its not an option. I think thats why I feel a wee bit outta place when I turn up with my 'runners' and I get sniggers etc...
They're so used to five star examples of imports. They've got a bunch of Toyota Starley Glanza thingies in at the moment - lovely lookin wee cars!
Though reading an article on this forum, If I had that kinda money - I'd be tempted to import myself for a lot less money.
Saw a 98 plate 3.5 Petrol on an import site for £2100...
For those in W Yorks - I can also recommend these guys.
