Much as I like the shogun I've just been to the local mitsi dealer to look at the Colt. The deals they are doing now are quite amazing.
I can buy a new one with a 3 year service plan, warranty, and breakdown cover and still cover the finance with the savings I would make from fuel tax and insurance. That means any cost for mot's service and repairs on the shogun would be money in my pocket. And lets be honest, there will be repair costs in a 11 year old car with 200,000 miles on the clock.
Beginning to look like a no brainer to me although I'm reluctant to get rid of the shogun.
And if fuel continues to rise as i'm sure it will, the savings will be even more |

I started to car share this week with a colleague who drives a Hyundai getz, my fuel bill has just dropped from £50.00 pewr week to £15.00
this means I can keep my Paj and play at the weekends and also, with putting the old bike on the road again I get round cheaply and have fun doin it. |

I drive at least 100miles per day to and from work + running around whilst there.
I bought a 3000 V6 Paj as work horse to tow trailer.
Cannot afford to use Paj every day it sits on drive and only goes out when I need trailer,
Use 1600 escort instead .
I am now in habit of filling up every evening ,one so I always have a full tank in case of shortages and two becase prices at pump seem to go up by the day.
Still saves on service charges for the Paj. |

hi all, just come back from the isle of sheppey at the local garage derv was £1.32 a litre and at tesco's at sheernes I paid £1.24 so put half a tank full in around £50's worth but by keeping below 2500 revs or a steady 60mph all the way home I think my mpg was in the region of 28.5 m.p.g which I am dead chuffed about also the journey was less stressful and more enjoyable. |

That's how I drive mine... slow and easy on the fuel. It's like taking a trip in an armchair.

I own a little pub in a village in the middle of nowhere, I have to use my paj for buying supplies for the pub, I can't sell it because no one will buy it! The increase in fuel prices is hitting us very hard, all our supplier prices have gone up and because everyones bills have gone up there are less people going out at night.

My Paj is the ONLY car I have ever felt like falling asleep in WHILE driving It's just so comfy! LOL
The way things are going, sleeping in it is about all I'll be able to afford to do!
Pete was in the local garage last night and they said DERV is dropping a penny to 129p a litre today and petrol going up a penny. |
