Just been through books and CD, can't find it, but sure I think it is under the dash, right hand side.
If the work now, case of listen for the clicks, hold the ones in the engine bay fuse box, see if they are there, if nott, then under dash by the internal fuses |

Just had a look through my cds etc and according to one of them it is under the dash, remove lower dash panel and you will see the fuses and relays etc, it is the one on the top left if this cd is right,
But double check with Richies method, turn ignition on then put indicators on and the relay should click and you should feel it clicking,

One thing I forgot to mention
I've got a mix of LED and normal indicator lamps.
Changed the relay as you're planning to do.
My relay flashes at the same rate regardless of how many bulbs I've got connected.
Normally if a bulb fails the others flash much faster giving you a clue to check them.
Now I just have to look now and again to make sure they're all working. |

rcxkryten, you're not testing the indicators by using the hazard switch are you??
If I remember correctly the hazard circuit is separate so removing the indicator relay will still allow the hazards to operate.
It was quite hard to identify the right relay as the clicking was felt through the surrounding relays.
Pulling out the right one will stop the indicators from operating (but not the hazards) |

Ah yes now thats a point the hazard switch must be connected for the indicators to work. |

Where is this relay in a 2008 Montero? I would like to install some LED bulbs for the turn lights.
Will I get hyperflashing even if the rearview mirrors have LED turn lights? Are they appart from the turn lights in the corners? |
