Hi, I got as far as getting the wheel bearing out, undid all the bolts holding the hub to the disk, but the disk would not come away from the hub that has all th bearings inside it! I didnt give it too muck stick with a BFH as its my every day vehicle and cant afford to have it off the road. Think ill go down scrappers and get and old unit, strip it down and then giv it some stick. Then its just a case of fitting the new disk to it and re-building the rest of the hub in situ.

Is there any method of getting apart- apart from bashing it off?

Cheers. Mick

If I read this correctly you've now got the hub (with disc still attached) off the paj and you've removed the 6 nut and bolts that hold the disk on.

If so the brake disk presses on from the rear of the hub so the only way to seperate them is to either press it off properly or gradually seperate the 2 by driving a wedge between the disk and the front of the hub. It will take some persevereance and rotate the hub so you seperate it evenly. Having done a few of these now you will need to hit the wedge quite hard to get them seperated and gradually increase the size of the wedge. I used chisels when I did mine but make sure you get the join so you dont damage your hub.

Im not sure what screw Wayne is refering to as the only screws are the ones which hold the lock ring into place and you would have already removed these to get the bearing out.

Spot on!Thats edzactly the info i was looking for! Yeah, i have had the hub completely stripped down including taking the bolts out that hold the hub to the disk, hopefully i should be able to get it off now without damaging the bearings or hub!

Yep sorry i thought it said the disc was still on the car!
Undo the 6 bolt from the rear of the disc then if i remember i used an old chisel on it to seperate the two .
