thanks folks, I'm not stressin bout it really
(well, so long as she's on the road for my Scotland & Wales trips)
mechanic thinks for the track rod ends it might be a case of replacing the pins
he will see when he strips it
then he's phoning me with cost once he's certain what parts are needed
so might not even be as bad as first thought
then it's straight to post office to donate some hard-earned to this rip off government
As I left her I said:
"She might fail on emissions, but she's due for an oil change, there's a new oil filter in the footwell"
She passed on those anyway
Oh happy days |

well, the old girl's still not home
not even had a phonecall
parts prob didn't arrive in time for her to come home today
i'm not worried (honest)
i couldn't care less how much it's gonna cost
it's the not knowing when she'll be home that gets to me
need to get my tyres switched onto her alloys before the valet
is Mitsi touch-up paint available on the net?
as I don't have a local Mitsi dealer anymore |

Mine failed on track rod end couple of weeks ago, tried to replace track rod end but it was siezed solid in track rod & when I eventually got it out it pulled threads out of track rod so needed new track rod & 2 ends Mitsi price £140.00 not in stock, local motor factors dont list parts so missus nipped to milners & got all parts for less than £50 then wheel stud snapped putting all back together but sorted it & taxed for another year |

She's coming home tomorrow
she's ready now, but he phoned me @ 5:55, and they close @ 6:00
gotta go part with £496.32
then I can go tax her
does it never end?
who cares?
I couldn't have replaced her for less |

Well, good news then for another year at least... and you didn't have to crawl about underneath the ol' girl so not bad!
My turn in a couple of weeks... I'd better start with the oily rag pdq! |
