From Forum

Just spoke to james caravans in Coventry at 0915hrs( part of Avondale) who told me that Avondale caravans Has gone bust but Avondale propertys is still trading along with other parts of Avondale, it seems that it only affects the caravan/coach building part of the company. we should be ok as we bought our used Avondale in July but as it was out of Avondales warrenty we took out an extended dealer warrenty but not sure how readily available parts should be if anything major was needed. sad to hear .

Unfortunately Avondale Coachcraft entered administration on 16th Sept 2008 with all of the workers being made redundant.

I was a bit concerned about parts too, having bought an '05 Osprey last year.  Apparently all of their spare parts stock has now been bought by another company....can't remember the name off hand but it's in the April Caravan Club magazine.  A lot of the parts are made by independant manufacturers who supply the whole industry anyway....it's just the value of the van which will be affected though!
