Went to view a 1995 2.8 pajero today and it was very clean inside, underneath and only 80 thou on the clock but it had a little niggle. When giving it a little rev whilst parked on the down rev the engine would have a little splutter when just reaching idle like it was going to stall then immediately correct itself and resume a good idle. I was wondering if anyone had any idea what it could be?

Driving it was great, plenty of power, immediate response and when coming to a halt all was good.

Thanks
Andy

It could be all sorts of things. It's only my opinion from a distance, but it's probably nothing too serious.  You could use the issue to get the price down if it's an otherwise sound vehicle.

Was the engine hot or cold?

If cold then maybe just one or two glow plugs need changing.

I don't think that it would be anything serious.

Thanks for the reply lads, it did this when the engine was cold and hot. I may take a gamble and try get it at a good price as it was a very clean motor.

The link doesn't work. You've got 'http://' twice in the address line.

Should be:
