Had a good day Thursday....on my way to my Grandmothers funeral when I hit a pheasant.
Anyone got any idea how much it will cost to repair? - bearing in mind that they will have to be wearing stilts just to look at it? |

Hi Sam. Spray Wizard I phoned up about my small dent reckoned about £70 - but seems my brick wall caused less damage than one of them well 'ard country peasants. Give him a call on 07768 454057 - he's in Hove actually. Still haven't had mine done yet but may do it meself as I should be able to pop it out from inside then touch up the paint.

Ouch
st**id bird, did it buy lunch afterwards?
or did it run away as they often seem to do without paying?
I used to work near Alton (Lasham) with several pheasant farms nearby and stray deer at least two or three radiators would be reduced to scrap during the season however the deer were good at taking out the front ends, the only problem then was getting the carcase to the local butchers.
all the best for the repair.
we're missing ours
hopefully a easy fix
regards

I expected to see a large cloud of feathers behind me, but nothing....
I reckon I was going so fast that I put it in orbit - wouldn't like to be underneath it when it re-enters the atmosphere................ |

Memory comes back, well it was 11-12 years ago
leaving lasham late, early evening meet half dozen or so young pheasants (half size) halfway down the hill. all but one scattered left or right except one, probably the youngest ,just learnt to fly hadn't learnt that for a pheasant it's a waste of effort. took off straight ahead and made a try for it. I got it top center of the screen right on the glazing frame, no roof height so no dent high enough not to stress the screen, couple of feathers and it was gone. I think I was lucky it was a '83 sunny
the ones with the cr*p engine that Nissan only built for 3 years and stock sheet of tin can thick steel. I'm lead to believe that BL allegro's were more reliable.
No real news on ours (suspect gearbox switch so far, auto spark will play tomorrow)
regards

Never hit a roo in my L300 but made a mess of my dodge ute once. Bullbar (we call them roo bars) are a necessity here. |

I never got around to mending the dent in my roof - luckily.......
coming home - A23 instead of A22 - different pheasant(I think) - same speed - 70+ - same bang - same dent!!!!!!!!
At least it didn't hit the other side....... |

It's more usual to use shotguns for pheasant as cars are deemed 'unsporting'.
Sorry for your loss and your damage |
