I don't know if this a fault of my brower or something has got screwed up but it's happened about 3 times todate...

My home page is my own web site, as set up in IE6 so when opening a new browser window it always goes to that....

Now for some reason despite it showing that it keeps going to some "Super Ford.org" site" and I can't seem to get rid of it!

Hi Phil, Merry Xmas, I actually have both Adaware and Spybot installed and run them on a regular basis, but next time it happens I'll try running them.

My reboot seemed to fix the problem though....

Just out of interest I read that link you gave and somebody wrote that Spybot was indeed spyware itself (If I read it correctly)
their site says this:-

Other spyware programs find spies in Sypbot-S&D's directory!
Please look at the path where such a program found the spyware. As Spybot-S&D has no spyware integrated, this must be a false alarm.

The reason for such a false alarm is simple: Spybot-S&D saves backups of the problems you have fixed; to make it possible to recover them in case something stops working after the fix.

If the file found is in the Recovery directory inside the Spybot-S&D directory, it is such a backup. It is no longer of any harm there, as the file won't be found and loaded from there. But once you are sure you don't need the backup, go to the Recovery section inside Spybot-S&D and purge that files.

You may also upgrade to Spybot-S&D version 0.95 or newer; these versions compress the recovery files into zip archives, thus avoiding other spyware applications will give false alarms.

Hi Allen, yes I know there is none, I was referring to a different post that somebody had suggested that there was indeed spyware in Spybot, which of course there is not.

Sorry for any confusion in my previous post.

Hi Tomcat.
Mate go to your search utility and type in Dialers.
This will show you who is trying to access your puter.ie Porn sites and the like.

Just a thought.

Just give my system a good flushing out (Oooh Err Missus) Razz .

I have a little prog called DiamondCS RegistryProt running in the background.

Lets you know when changes are being made to your registry, good for Trojans etc.

And one called 'Registry Cleaner' both are quite handy

They're freeware from http://www.webattack.com/freeware/system/fwregtools.html
