Hi all
I've found a bunch of stuff on recovery points on earlier models, but nothing on monocoques - apologies if I have missed it.

I have a SWB Shogun V65 3.5 GDi 2001. This is the first of the monocoques I think. I am trying to find out if the two rings on the front below the bumber are strong enough for off-road recovery points. I think the drivers side one might be a tow point (for flat towing) and the other just a lashing point, although they both look the same. I need two strong points at the front to attach a bridle when I get really stuck (like I did last week!). Can I just replace these with decent jate rings or similar?

Also where is the best place to attach a rear recovery point. I have a factory tow bar with removable tow ball, but the damn tow ball is missing (I never got it when I bought the vehicle!). I tried to use what's left of the tow bar last week, but getting a good strong rope behind and around it was impossible. Maybe I can remove the tow bar and fit something else?

Thanks all
Steve
