Hi All
I replaced the engine on my Pajero some months ago and had the aircon re-gassed by a professional.  He was unable to test it as the climate control switches on the dash did not respond.  He checked the fuses, wiring that was easily visible and accessible as well as the gas.  There are no leaks.  The climate control has power.  The compressor engages when connected directly to the battery.  The aircon fellow recommended going to an auto electrician to get it sorted but I would prefer to check some of the basics before spending huge bucks for someone else to play around.  I removed the second battery at the time of the engine swap as I do not use excessive accessories.  I have been unable to determine if the aircon controls feed off the second battery.  I feel that a connection might be adrift which occurred during the engine swap.  I did the swap myself.  I have been unsuccessful in finding an aircon wiring diagram or any suggestions as to what might be the problem, hence my signing up to POCUK as there is a wealth of experience here. Hope someone can help.
Cheers
Bryan

The two batteries are connected in parallel - so they act as one big battery. Removing one will not cause your problem.

Download the wiring diagram from my Google Drive HERE - the air con diagrams start on page 287.
