I need some help before I burn the bloody thing...

Ok, I've been have having a few autobox problems, basically I dont have any overdrive, I've fitted a shorting link to the autobox ecu connector and shorted pin one to earth, the AT light flashes a code, it's 3 long followed by 8 short so I presume that means code 38... anyone have any idea what code 38 means??

HELP

Rog.

I've looked through all my info and can't find a #38 fault code.

A quick google comes up with this -

http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/t29748-shogun-pinin--fault-codes.htm

which indicates a misfire if the code is 308

http://www.bba-reman.com/content.aspx?content=fault_codes_for_bosch_and_simtec_mpi_main_engine_ecu

which points at the lambda sensor - but I don't know if this applies to a Pajero.

Thanks mate, wish I'd seen this yesterday Rolling Eyes I ended up spending £12 on www.justanswer.com to find put the same information Very Happy   Anyway as it turns out it wasn't the VSS but the KPH to MPH convertor, I've removed it and rewired the speedo as it should be and guess what... finally my Paj works as it should Very Happy   just have to remember I'm doing KM's and not Miles...

Can I get a new MPH background for my speedo or will I need another convertor.

Again, many thanks for the help fella's, gotta love this forum.
