New Paj owner. My 2.5 swb auto doesn't change up into top gear. Was running OK then developed this problem.
ANY IDEAS!!. (NB: I'm not too mechanically minded, can do basics. Just don't want to get conned by garages) Sad  Sad

Have you checked you ATF, that's the first thing to do needs to be a nice cherry red, and the correct level, I have had this problem recently and unfortunately for me and many others I have had to get another gearbox, but on the other have you may be luck and it could be something more simple, you say it was running fine and now it doesn't ? so did this slowly creep up on you or was it instant ie did the OD stop working completely, which is what I think you are talking about? you OD should kick in at about 50ish MPH and only once the engine has warmed up, there is quite a lot on here about this problem just do a quick search, but I am sure someone else will be along soon that may be able to help you more than I can Embarassed
