That looks about right for a Jr.
There was something there originally as there are two holes.
Now, where do you park your car? |

JayBee did you find out about wiring for the optional unit?
I guess it might only need a wire to the ouside for temp gauge and +12v/earth for the rest. Wonder if there is a socket in the car loom as standard to plug the new unit into?
Anyone know if there is any such thing as a wiring diagram for the Junior.
Probably wouldnt have bought car if I had realized that there is no Haynes etc. (have the NZ drivers handbook) and found a mountain of mechanical info on the Pinnin most of which looks very like my junior but no proper wiring digram as such. |

I think the Lynx and Junior are sufficiently different to make the task difficult.
Also, I have done enough tinkering to have broken one and weakened another snap on connector so maybe it is time to leave things as the are.
I want to be driving a Junior many years into the future as a classic car driver does today. |

Just noticed this post. I understand that the ZRII has a sport! version and it has the altimeter etc on top of the dash as in the photo link that was above. When we got ours there were 2 vehicles available, one had the gauges the other did not, ours also had a bull bar and fog lights, but otherwise were identical. We were told that this was the "Sport" version, not certain if that is correct or just sales talk, but the guy seemed to know what he was talking about. |

My ZRII must be a sport as it has bull bar and fog lights but there is definitely something missing from the top of the dash.
Well, nothing I can do at the moment as someone pulled out in front of me and my car has been in a coachworks for over a month.
They say they sourced parts from Mitsubishi Japan but I can't see how they could so a write-off is a possibility. |

Theye may scource from Japan.
I am in Malta and a main Nissan Dealer gets genuine Mistsubishi parts (in Mitsubishi packing with part numbers) but I think they actually come from a facility in Holland not direct from Japan. Takes an average eight weeks for anything. So far have received complete set of belts, some panel screws and rear window seals.
They could get the stepper motor which I asked for but it was much cheaper via a UK shop on the web (still £300 though plus PP)
Many well stocked car spares shops here but not even an air filter for a Junior even though there are thousands of them. I often park somewhere and find at least three on the same road, must be reliable with the grotty spares situation. |
