Can someone please explain to me in very simple english what exactly a Zig unit does.
The reason I asked is that I have one in my motorhome which has a swith labelled "Mains" yet when you plug in electrics the mains sockets work without touching the Zig unit. It also has a switch labelled Battery caravan or car, one on site or towing, and another something mentioning the fridge, but when you look at the actual unit there's no wires coming out of the bit labelled fridge.
I'm confused and we go away on Sunday - can anyone help me please? |

Basically it charges up the leisure battery while you are driving and controls the power from the mains to the leisure battery or using mains hook up
Loads on Google just type in Zig Unit...............not that I understand a bloody word of it |

Your zig unit supplies the power.
When your using 12v they come from the zig unit, not the battery. The zig charges the battery via battery charger. |

It all depends on what Zig unit you have. Not all charge the battery and not all have 240v running through them |
